Privacy Policy
Effective August 18, 2026
VIBE Shop Manager (“VIBE”, “we”) is shop-management software for automotive repair businesses, operated at vibeshopmanager.com. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have. In short: shops own their data, we don't sell anyone's data, and we collect only what the product needs to work.
Data we collect
Shop account data: business name, staff names and login emails, and the operational records shops create — customers, vehicles, estimates, repair orders, invoices, payments, appointments, messages, and shop-authored documents.
Customer-of-shop data: shops enter their customers' contact details (name, phone, email, address) and vehicle information to run their business. That data belongs to the shop; VIBE processes it on the shop's behalf.
Technical data: server logs (IP address, request times) kept for security and debugging, and cookies used solely to keep you signed in and remember display preferences. We do not run third-party advertising or tracking cookies.
How we use data
To provide the service: producing estimates and invoices, scheduling, messaging customers on the shop's behalf, taking payments, syncing to accounting, and showing shops their own reporting. We also use aggregate, de-identified information to improve VIBE. We do not sell personal information, and we do not use shop or customer data for advertising.
Third-party services
VIBE connects to services a shop chooses to enable, sharing only what each needs to do its job: Stripe (payment processing — card details go directly to Stripe and never touch VIBE's servers), Intuit QuickBooks (accounting sync of invoices and payments), Resend (transactional email delivery), SMS providers (text messages the shop sends), Bouncie (vehicle GPS, when connected), and Google Maps (maps and address autocomplete). Each operates under its own privacy policy. Authorization tokens for these connections are stored server-side and are revocable by the shop at any time.
Security
Data is encrypted in transit (TLS everywhere), hosted with reputable cloud infrastructure providers in the United States, isolated per business account, and protected by role-based permissions inside each shop. Access to production systems is limited to the operator. No method of storage is 100% secure, but if we learn of a breach affecting your data we will notify affected accounts promptly.
Data retention & your choices
Shops control their records and can edit or archive them in-app. When a shop account closes, we delete or de-identify its data within a reasonable period, except records we must keep for legal or accounting purposes. If you are a shop's customer and want your information corrected or removed, contact the shop that services your vehicle — they control that record; we act on their instructions.
Children
VIBE is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13.
